Want to get into photography

Complete beginner and I am looking to buy a camera to get into photography for a bit of fun.

Just asking first some guidance on what my options are to buy with a budget of about 700aud (give or take a bit). Probably going to go second hand, are there any cameras that would be recommended or brands I should go to or stay away from, etc.

I want a camera that can be used for pretty much everything, granted I do also want to do a bit of motorsport photography.
