Wondering about whether this newegg combo is a good starting point to build off of
Combo I'm talking about: https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4814737
So, for some context, a couple weeks ago I build my first personal computer, and now before I upgrade my current rig I would like to build my brother a computer as well. I'm set on going a generation older, mostly since memory will be cheaper and hardware will be documented, and he's mostly going to be playing emulated titles or racing games (BeamNG.drive, Assetto, maybe some forza horizon games) and isn't really interested in newer AAA titles, so I don't think he's ever going to be wanting for more compute power. I'm pretty familiar with the R5 5500 and it's capabilities as a CPU (did some research on synthetic and real world benchmarking), but I find it is an absolute pain to get ALL the details about a motherboard before buying it, some specification about something is always left out, some m.2 slot only works from 9-5, I'm extrapolating and being overdramatic, and maybe I'm just newer to the space, but I find it difficult. If anyone has any hands-on experience with this board and how it is, that would be great. as a bonus and kind of an aside, I would like to know what a good GPU pairing for this system would be. Aiming to spend less than $150, so yes, used market, currently looking at a 1070 or 1080, also found a 6600xt for $170 that I'm considering, let me know! thank you in advance :)
