Is it true that [KCD2] runs better than KCD1?

I had performance problems with KCD1 yesterday, with the textures loading sometimes 30 secs late, and FPS drops during tourneys. I'm worried that I wouldn't be able to play KCD2 if the older entry runs like this on my machine, but I've seen than KCD2 runs better apparently.

Also, If I play KCD1 on Med-High graphics, is it even worth it using High Quality textures? I feel like that's why textures take too long to load sometimes.
