Kenmore 80 Washer- in rinse drain stage, tub does not spin

I recently changed a transmission and everything looks and sounds good except there is a loud drain pump sound during rinse-drain stage.

When I opened a lid, the tub was not spinning.
But once the lid opened and closed, it starts spinning.

What would be the cause of the tub not spinning automatically?
I recently changed a lid switch, so highly doubt this would be an issue. Besides, when I open and close manually, the tub spins.

The only thing I can think of is the clip and washer from the agitator assembly not properly assembled.
Not sure if these two have to do with spinning, but when I pulled put the agitator assembly, these two came apart and I had no idea how they were seated in first place.
