Moving on from a Garmin Vivoactive 4, any recommendations?

I am looking for something rugged to replace my Garmin Vivoactive 4. The battery is going and I want something with a battery that will last more than a day.
I spend lots of times outdoors. I don't really do fitness, but tracking steps is important.
Looking at Amazfit T-Rex or OnePlus 3. My budget is $300 or so.
