The reason I mostly buy keycap clones

It’s not even about the money, I would be more than willing to pay retail for ‘authentic’ higher quality keycap sets. The issue is, there have been numerous times where I would like to buy a keycap set but it’s either fully sold out, or either the novelties/base are sold out. Then like a degenerate I go to the cheaper alternative and most of the time they have a clone available, and for much cheaper.

It almost feels like you have to be really tapped in to the hobby and be actively looking out for the next drop because if you don’t, it’s gone.
