Any NJ community colleges that offer dorm living or partnerships with universities?

Advice

Hi, I’m an incoming senior in high school, and I’m pretty set on starting at a community college before transferring to a four-year university. I know that most community college students usually commute from home, but I’m not interested in staying at home because of my parents and because I want to experience dorm life.

I live in Essex County, New Jersey, and I’m willing to travel a little bit, but not too far since it is a community college. Are there any community colleges that have dorms on campus or offer nearby apartments that students can rent? Are there also community colleges partnered with universities or four-year colleges that allow their students to live in the university dorms so they can still have that experience?

I’m looking for an affordable option, and I feel it’s not in my best interest to stay at home. If this is possible, when should I start the process? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
