Marian Modesty and Jewish Modesty

Okay so I may be off base here, but I remember reading about the ‘Marian modesty’ movement and thinking the specific restrictions sounded familiar. Today I realized that it’s really similar to the modesty standards observant Jewish women follow. Which makes a lot of sense given that Mary was, in fact, a devout Jewish woman.

I just think this is a neat little tidbit and I feel silly that I didn’t make the connection sooner.
