currently grinding to immortal

i mainly play 3 now and just hit 3.7k mmr. i main lc dawnbreaker ck and axe, but i have an issue with other 3s who build sustain items and support teams fights alot (db is one of them and i love her) any general tips on 3 or which heroes i should/play?
