Odd sensation in foot

Several days ago, I thought I had something stuck in my shoe. Then noticed it was with all shoes, so I checked my sock and nothing…and now I notice it when barefoot.

It feels like there is something stuck to the bottom of my foot, on the ball of the foot, right below the pinky toe or just to the bottom edge of that foot. When my shoes are on, even now it 100% feels like my sock is scrunched up or something. Found one old forum about a tape stuck sensation, but no good info.

Closest I can find is Morton’s Neuroma, but even that seems like it should be in a different location or painful. I inspected my foot and don’t see or feel anything unusual. No bumps, no pain, no swelling, no numbness or tingling (yet). Just odd and annoying. Only a hand full days in, so don’t want to get it looked at just yet. 40 y/o M. On the mend from sciatic issue, but that has improved in recent weeks. Only taking Tylenol for that issue.
