I want to see an alternative Bipolar storyline
We've seen Jean's episodes and we've seen Stacey's. And while I know those are accurate depictions, a lot of people with BD stay grounded in reality. One day, we could see someon on top of the world, laughing and joking with their mates without a care. And the next, they're convinced there's no way out and willing to end it all.
Lily seems like the easiest option as:
A) she's in the middle of puberty and that's a well known time when symptoms can first start showing, plus the hormonal and developmental changes can heighten it too.
B) it's hereditary and has shown up in the last 2 generations of her family
C) It paves the way for a good denial introduction plot as all forms of Bipolar Disorder she's seen involve some sort of delusion (Martin being alive, the devil etc)
D) A traumatic event, like say your dad dying in a violent explosion and crush, can trigger it
Although tbf Schizophrenia is quite underrepresented on the show and hasn't been touched on since 2021 with most people only remembering Joe Wicks. Thoughts?
