Trial Ranking System
Hi all, I'm organizing things to hopefully run trials for my guild on PS/NA and would like some assistance making a Difficulty Rating for each of the trials. I've looked for this multiple times and never found a solid system or answer. I don't expect people to start using the system outside of my guild either. However, it would be a more comprehensive way to judge difficulty for anyone still learning to participate in trials and figuring out their builds.
I'm basing the "difficulty" on mechanics and completion from a beginner standpoint. Normal and/or Veteran, no speed trials, deathless runs, hardmode, trifecta, achievements, or anything extra.
My guild typically starts new people on Normal Cloudrest +0, which works for the trial host to gauge how everyone performs, and as an ice breaker for anyone new to trials. So I'd personally rate it 1. Rockgrove is usually saved for later on the list, likely a 3 or 4. Veteran Hel Ra Citadel is used as a plunder run to provide gold to the guild and would be ranked a 1 on the Veteran scale.
I haven't run all of them myself, especially not the newer three, so if anyone could give their opinions to help me formulate this ranking system, I'd be grateful. I'm mostly looking for the Normal versions of the trials, but if you have opinions on the Veteran versions, I'd also appreciate them. Ideally, the Ranking System would be from 1 to 5 "stars", with each version of Cloudrest having "its own" ranking. However, if anyone thinks the number should exceed 5, let me know.
Here is the list of Trials and the letter codes I've seen used for them, in case you need a refresher or didn't know the letter codes. I apologize for any spelling errors.
Rockgrove (RG), Asylum Sanctorium (AS), Atherian Archive (AA), Hel Ra Citadel (HRC), Sanctum Ophidia (SO), Dreadsail Reef (DR), Sunspire (SS), Maw of Lorkhaj (MoL), Ossein Cage (OC), Cloudrest (CR)[+0/+1/+2/+3], Sanity's Edge (SE), Halls of Fabrication (HoF), Lucent Citadel (LC), Kyne's Agis (KA)
I really appreciate any help you can provide, and I would appreciate any honest and genuine input you may have on this.
