2002 W210 with Bose - Head Unit Replacement

Hello ,

Ive tried bluetooth but it has so much static , I commute about 400 miles a week in my W210 ( E320). I love the quality of the Factory Bose system. Ive researched a fair amount, but can anyone recommend a new head unit ? I cant find much information on this subject . I hate to replace the factory head unit , is a plug and play available ? Its my understanding its more complicated with the Bose - any success stories ?
