In universe lore for ODST?

I'm curious what the in universe lore will be for an odst crossover if we get one and dont get blueballed.

The galactic warning system makes me think one good way would be a UNSC ship comeing though the wormhole by some cosmic mistake while having odsts aboard then getting integrated into super earth doctrine.

Another thought of a pre unification force called ODST used before super earth became super and the reactivation of that program.

Most likely it will be a small mention in the armor description about a company or manufacturer but it has my story telling brain firing off with ideas.
