*Plot Summary:*

The story centers around a woman named Dai Lin who seeks revenge on the Chen family for the death of her sister. She gets close to the family's heir, Chen Angwei, our ML, as part of her plan. However, her mission becomes complicated when she starts to develop feelings for him, and she discovers that he also has his own secrets related to the family.

*My Thoughts:*

To start off, let me say that this felt like a more 'raw' version of the plot - the one where the FL approaches the ML to use him to get revenge. Could this be a Hong Kong based production? Not sure, but I've asked our content team and will update in the comments!

Now, I say raw not exactly because it was too noir but more so because of the production value. I could see *gasp* pores, potential mustache, and the settings were a bit different. Good or bad, you be the judge. I kind of liked it.

The story was pretty standard for the plot. What set it apart was that in addition to the above, the villain was dressed for the part. Sharp business suits, a fabulous haircut and dark makeup.

The SML was older and also looked the part. In fact, I think I liked pretty much everyone in the drama, though the ML looked a tad bit too young - he does acknowledge his age gap while throwing shade at the SML (one of my favourite moments 😂).

There were some spicy kisses - yep, I think I saw tongue at one point and YT comments agree! I'm definitely going to watch out for both leads in the future.

This is for sure worth a watch, despite the damsel in distress FL and absolutely ridonkulous >!situations (there were two!) with extremely fake looking bombs. They might have recycled the same one, who knows 💁‍♀️.!<
