Am I the only one who feels like Taylor is misunderstood?

I actually really like Taylor and truth be told, I see parts of myself in her. OBVIOUSLY she has some cler toxic traits she definitely needs to work on that have no excuse but she's been raised by a single mom who she's really had to mother her whole life and was forced to grow up early, never had a stable father figure show her an example of what a man and a real healthy relationship looks like, pushes everyone away because she's afraid to be vulnerable due to abandoment issues, tries to be tough for everyone else while no one really asks her how she's doing, etc. It's so clear to me how much she really cares for steven but the fear of being rejected or abandoned is paralyzing to her so she copes how she always does by jokes and not letting anyone in too close. Again, not saying that there is an excuse for what she's doing, we all have issues but I really feel like people are super harsh on her (she is def worse in the books though imo, i like the show version of her for the most part) and unpopular opinion, i think if taylor were to get some space from her mom, grow up and mature and find herself a bit more, her and steven would work really well together
