Suggestions for 7-10 days east coast solo traveller

I’m thinking of heading to east coast Sri Lanka solo in a couple weeks, last-minute trip.

Looking for a balance of relaxing beach time and hiking. Also hoping to meet people along the way so balance of social and down time.
