LDR at college, does this sound restrictive?
Hey guys, my girlfriend and I are about to do long distance at college. So her and I went over our boundaries and what we were and weren’t okay with. She mostly came up with them (and I agreed, since she said she would adhere to them too), and it consisted of:
-
if I go out with a group of friends, she wants to know if any girls will be there as well
-
she’s not okay with me seeing girls one-on-one
-
she doesn’t want me posting pictures with any girls in them
While I initially agreed with these, the more I thought about it the more restricting it seemed. I’m inevitably going to make friends and meet new people, whether it’s school projects or study groups. She even mentioned the both of us should get Life360 to “not be weird, but to make sure we’re both safe,” but I feel like this is something that could very quickly become abused? I wanted to have another conversation about it with her soon for clarification. Prior to the relationship, I did have a few female friends who I’m not as in touch with anymore but she still asked a lot of questions about, as if she thought I had feelings for them prior to our relationship.
What do you guys think I should do?
