Train from DC to Vienna? Hotels?

Hello, I am flying into DC to visit a friend that lives in Vienna, Va. I was wondering if there was a train that takes one to the city from Vienna, and vice versa? I will be completely new to the area. With that, I was also wondering how late the train runs, and if there were any hotels in DC or Vienna worth staying at. Thank you in advance!
