questions on the homeless people here.

i am new to the Denton area and i just have some questions regarding the homeless population here. first of all, by no means do i mean to sound rude or ignorant in this post. i genuinely hope that the homeless people here get the help they need and are not going to be harmed like in the incident that happened with a homeless man on August 9th.

1. is it safe to offer them money and food?
2. do they antagonize people for no reason?
3. are they armed and considered dangerous?

once again, i am new to this area and i just want to be informed with answers based on the questions i have and i am not generalising anyone with being “armed” or “dangerous”. it is just a question. my intention is not to sound like a horrible person. i hope this post doesn’t come across like that.
