I-864 and I-765 help

I-765 (EAD)

Hi everyone, my wife (petitioner) and I filed for my I-485 and I-130 recently and we just received an RFE for the I-864. They couldn't determine whether my wife made enough which was fair as we both just recently graduated college in May and didn't have sufficient taxable income last year. When initially filling out the I-864 we submitted an offer letter from her job that she was due to start in July. This position was for fulltime and hourly pay but it didn't explicitly state an annual amount (despite it being over the 125% guidelines amount)

I have received a job offer to start on September 15th at an amazing job and I really want to be able to do it. I've completed biometrics a couple days ago but I'm worried I won't get the I-765 approved until this RFE is sorted and apparently I can't expedite until the RFE is sorted.

We have a few options now to do the RFE.

  1. She has been able to get some documents that verify her work status and state a target compensation of $31,000 which is higher than the 125% guidelines (in reality she'll be closer to 40-45 but we can't prove this). However, we still don't have the income/tax info for last year which is sufficient.
  2. Her parents are happy to sponsor and make well over the amount but they haven't filed taxes yet for 2024 but they did file for the official extension. They will be filing their taxes either tonight or tomorrow supposedly but I'm worried this will take a while to get the returns and transcripts etc. They have tax returns from 2023,2022 and 2021 all of which show sufficient amount.
  3. The job offer is for around 70k but I don't think I'm able to sponsor myself.

Is there any way I can get this all sorted so that I can keep this job? Appreciate the help!
