What is living in the planned community of GreenBelt Maryland like?

North America

Greenbelt, MD a planned community just outside of Washington D.C.

!950's era video of Greenbelt MD being built:

Scope & Content: Reel 2 shows poor housing, traffic congestion, and inadequate play areas in New York. Stresses the frantic tempo of city life. Reel 3 shows a modern, planned town: safe and adequate play areas, abundant sunshine, spacious living quarters, clean factory buildings and grounds, ample shopping facilities, and a well devised street system. Contrasts this relaxed life with the hurried pace of the city. The planned towns shown are Greenbelt, Md., and Radburn, N.J.
