Do I need to format my notebook to update Fedora?

I used Fedora once and I even liked it, as I am dissatisfied with my current distro (Kubuntu) I thought about going back to Fedora KDE, since the KDE version has gained an official version in Fedora now in version 42, but in a few months we have version 43, and that's when I ask: Do I need to format my notebook to update Fedora (version 43 specifically)?
