Should I Attempt to Contest this Ticket?

I'm not taking this as legal advice, but wondering if anyone has ever contested a street cleaning ticket if they hung up the sign really weirdly? They typically put it on the trunk of the tree or a post but it was placed awkwardly on a high branch sideways (so you could only see it in one direction)-I unfortunately can't attach a photo.

I know you can contest a ticket if they didn't put it up within 24 hours, but not sure if they would care about visibility.
