Learning to live in a sexless marriage

My wife and I have been married for 31 years. Our sex life has struggled from the get-go. After our third child, something happened with our sex life. We got really busy, we're unable to connect and sex was quite rare for us. Most of the time she didn't want to or we were so busy and exhausted from working and raising the kids that we both would just fall asleep at night. I struggled with frustration for a long time. Almost left her at one point but I decided to stay for the kids and because I am a man of integrity. We have come to a point where now that she is in perimenopause, we're finding other ways to connect and it seems to be okay. I have found a contentment within my own heart. I have a peace within myself about staying no matter what. I guess you could say I found a level of acceptance. I've learned not to get frustrated, I've learned not to keep pressing but just to wait and give her space. And I have my space and I found my peace and freedom. And you know what for me. I'm okay with that. I do have the hope that someday we will connect again at that level. But for now, she is a sweet woman and I love her dearly. Even though I can't express that in the deepest level that two people love each other can express it, sex. But I am also a person of Faith, and I want to choose a good path for my life. So I've choosed to walk in a level of acceptance and peace and unconditional love. There are other complicated things I haven't shared here, but I found a piece where I'm not always frustrated about it anymore. It took a shift in my thinking to start trying to just see things from a different perspective. But I also have discovered healthy ways to release the tension. Like I started working out three times a week or more. Meditation, prayer, and other personal ways. I'm able to release those tensions in the healthy ways. So those of you who are struggling with this, I guess if you can find a way to still love the person you're with and be happy and at peace within yourself like I have, I encourage you to pursue that path. It's not an easy one, but I found it to be most fulfilling at this point and stage and my journey of life. Kind regards, much love to everyone!
