[NJ] Not sure if I have a charge and/or criminal record

In middle school I was told by one of my friends that this girl was talking badly about me. I always felt like she was already a bully to me so I decided to DM her mean messages. Her friends then add me to a groupchat and say that they’ve reported me to the police. The next day I get called to guidance and she explains that I am in violation of cyber harassment and HIB laws but the girl’s father decided to “drop” the charges. Never went to court or anything like that but I’m wondering if any trace of that would show on a criminal background check? It’s been about 10 years since. Location: NJ
