Toy suggestions for 4yo?
I went to swap the toys in our living room out today with toys in the basement and as I was going through them, I realized how many of our toys we've had for a really long time and how few are geared toward my child's current age group. She's about to be 4 but a lot of what we have is for a 2 or 3 yo. Those things were fine until recently but this summer she's really matured a lot and made a lot of progress in some things that have been challenging for her and the toys we have now are not at all very engaging or challenging in any way.
She likes things that stack, puzzles, things with fairies, and farm/garden themed things. Bees are a current obsession. Elmo is also a winner. We're working more on counting so toys that build that/reinforce number skills would also be good.
With school supplies on sale I'm also stocking up on art supplies. She hasn't been very interested in drawing or coloring lately but I'm hoping to do more of that.
I get that it's very child dependent, what your kid likes my kid may not like etc but what are people's 4yos playing with lately?
