Palestinians were sacrificed to whitewash Europe’s conscience.

Europeans violently and systematically persecuted Jews for nearly 2,000 years, culminating in the most disgusting and horrific industrialized mass slaughter of Jews in history. Then, when Europe “failed” to exterminate all Jews as they intended to, they settled for the next best option which was to ship Jews out of Europe to somewhere else.

This served a few functions for Europe:

1. It essentially addressed their “Jewish question”, since now Jews could leave Europe and be “someone else’s problem.”

2. It assuaged their guilt, because now Europeans can say “Look! See? We may have exterminated the majority of Jews in the world, but now we gave them their own country. Aren’t we so generous?”

3. Now Europeans and “Western” nations can project their antisemitism - a derivative and a function of white supremacy - onto another people, and claim that the people who were opposed to resettling masses of Jews into Palestine were “antisemitic” (all the while, during the Holocaust, those same European and “Western” countries rejected Jewish refugees fleeing the Holocaust).

And now what Israel is doing to people in Palestine is literally the most rabid, antisemitic, foaming-at-the-mouth, white supremacist’s wet dream: “Jews” (because that is how they see Israel - as representing all Jews) committing a genocide of their own, assuaging the guilt of white supremacy, cause they can now say, “See? Jews did it too! Everyone does it! Genocides for everyone!”
