They really did it. Apologies if everyone has acknowledged how good this new season is, I haven’t been keeping up with this Reddit but felt the need to post about it. It’s so exciting. I’m so happy with how good it is.
Like so many on here, the early seasons of Dexter were some of my favorite, most formative tv watching experiences ever. The cat and mouse game of s1-s4. The unforgettable moments, atmosphere, and characters. And Michael C hall and his monologue voice over at the center of it all, hiding in plain sight. It’s one of the most addicting tv show formulas ever done. And I really feel they captured that magic with this new season. Dexter really feels like he has a purpose this time around. New blood felt hollow to me. This feels like Dexter truly confronting his mortality, his choices up until this point-and his legacy. The scene with the SPOILER WARNING serial killer exhibit in Peter dinklages luxury apartment gave me the chills. It’s the kind of creativity and storyline straight from season 2 or 4. If only Lundy could see him now. I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE
