Commissioning Interest

Just finished my CCAF, Sewed on tech this year and I’m on the cusp of my 9 year mark.

I’m at a bit of a crossroad here where I’m trying to figure out my next step.

The last 4 years I constantly come back to the idea of commissioning, but I want to hear from other folks that did it through the programs the Air Force offers up.

Is it easier to finish my degree in Aviation Mx management, or is it more beneficial to do things like SOAR or ASCP?

I’m married, I have 2 boys, and I’d like to TRY to stay active duty while pursuing the commissioning side. But I don’t know too many people with experiences like that.

Most of the officers I meet either went Academy, ROTC in college or came in with a bachelors and OTS.
