What's going atm?

In my last 25 games I always had one person running it down or atleast playing 100% for their kda. Whole teamfight going on and our Ambessa, Gnar or what else u got leaves the fight after taking some dmg and bases. The first few times I was just a bit frustrated but now iam wondering. Is that a new style of griefing?
