Varka and Faruzan

I have seen a lot of people say if Varka is an Anemo hypercarry he will be a Faruzan slave or whatnot.

Yes Faruzan is quite strong at C6. Too much diverse damage amplification, off field dmg, some CC with no uptime or energy issues. She even provides more value than many C0 5* supports.

But Hoyo can employ tricks to make Varka very less reliant on her. Basically to sell a new support.

First is Varka doing EM scaled Crit dmg that is considered as Swirl (a transformative reaction that ignores defence). This follows the trend of NodKrai which lauma, ineffa, Flins all do. This Immediately makes ToM atk buff and Anemo dmg bonus useless.

After that make Varka's infusion cooldowns shorter so rotations get weird. Faruzan ult is 18 seconds and 20 CD. Thats the same trick they played with Flins and Aino. Yelan/Furina get clunky rotations.

The new 5* support can do sustain + match cooldown with Varka, buff EM, buff swirl dmg directly instead of Anemo dmg ontop of Anemo res shred. In addition to that can do Ineffa type strong off field subdps dmg.

So yeah its actually pretty easy to overpower Faruzan and have the new support be a noticeable increase in dmg.

Also if Varka is EM/Crit scaling basically Bennet is also out in this team. VV res shred is a nothing burger as well. TTDS also out.
