Anyone else hate SafeSave Payments?

We use DonorPerfect which uses SafeSave Payments for processing donations. They decided to FORCE us to use Security Metrics to make our website PCI compliant, even though we only link back to DonorPerfect to accept the donations. We don't have a form, collect any data, just a link over to a different website.

Why would they force us to be PCI compliant for just a link?

I think these companies are HORRIBLE for forcing us to pay an extra $40/month to put a link on our secure website just because we aren't PCI compliant.

Anyone think these companies are all in bed with each other to steal from non-profits?
