Saturn 4 - Builds impossibly stuck to plate. Getting frustrated and could really use some help.
Hey all, I’m pulling my hair out over my Saturn 4 (non-Ultra).
Most of what I print are completely flat-bottom, functional pieces (cases, enclosures, simple tools). No matter what I try they’re completely glued to the build plate.
Background: I previously used Elegoo’s water-soluble resin and had *-*some- success, but they suffered frequent delamination, warping and brittleness after curing.
Most prints still required absurd force to remove, and I often end up levering with my whole body weight or even tapping the spatula with a hammer to pry parts off. Freezing the whole plate in a bag would sometimes let parts pop off, but that introduces bad delamination.
I avoid heavy supports because they ruin flat surfaces and create warping/marks on functional parts.
Hoping for an easier removal, so I switched to Siraya Tech Blu-Tough (thinking a tougher resin might survive removal better). My first test (the Rook) adhered so strongly it broke when I tried to remove it.
Has anyone solved this for flat, functional prints on a Saturn 4? Tips on exposure/bottom layer settings, peel speed etc? I made just a basic new slice configuration, I think it's just default slice settings, to start fresh.
