I had a disturbing flashback of something I have no memory of. Was I abused?

I might be making a huge mistake posting this, you know, with the entire internet. But I felt like "getting it off my chest" (yes, pun intended), would be really helpful at this point. I found this out just two weeks ago, I'm still reeling, so, please be nice in the comments :)

Recently, about two weeks ago, I was watching a movie with my family, when there was a close-up shot of a man's face; he was on the older side, physically very worse for wear (it was a hostage scene), and crucially, he had that short but scratchy beard stubble.

I had a very quick flashback of certain sensations that I am now disturbed by. There was a man, I could hear him breathing heavily, the room smelled "medical" (think, breathing tubes, monitors, sanitation wipes, but mainly that chemically hospital plastic smell), and the strongest sensation was that I could feel his beard against my cheek. I remember very vividly, how much I hated it, and how much I wanted to ask for him to put me down (I think I was on his lap in some kind of way) but felt like I couldn't. Then I realized I’d had this memory a couple times before, when I was younger. Just, way less vivid. It was always triggered by similar things, but I always dismissed it as, "I must be imagining what that scenario WOULD feel like." But now that I'm older and can think and understand in a clearer way, I'm deeply concerned and disturbed by it.

But, what's really weird about it, is my parents were very protective of me. It's hard to imagine they would've left me vulnerable. But I guess it's possible, maybe they left me alone with someone they thought they trusted? But how protective they were makes me think, "you're making this up," and then I think, "my doubt must be a trauma response", and then I think, "but maybe that's just me defending a false memory" and I'm so turned around in my own head I guess I just need other people to tell me what they think.

From what I understand, it's common for children, especially as young as I would have to have been (9 at the oldest, maybe even 4 or 5 at the youngest).

Do you think it's possible something could've happened?
