Grateful for this sub - that's all :-)
I (42F) found this sub after yet another overnight panic attack. I've had months of medical uncertainty and stress, and funnily enough, after being initially misdiagnosed with cancer (ended up being a rare benign congenital anomaly), all the testing and imaging I've had has revealed I am in fact completely, mindnumbingly normal and healthy. I've always had anxiety, but my symptoms have worsened this year, and I initially put it down to the worry over my medical issues. But, those worries are gone, and I have found myself still anxious, in fact it's more severe. As I have evidence (thanks to the extensive testing I had earlier this year) that there is nothing else wrong with me that could be causing this (e.g. had full thyroid panel and ultrasound due to a thyroid nodule which turned out benign), and I am 42 year old woman who, about a year ago, started having some period irregularities, I land on perimenopause as the reason for my symptoms.
All that is to say, finding this sub last night was such a relief - so many stories just like mine. Just wanted to express my gratitude here (after being incredibly anxious this morning, my mood has swung back to feeling pretty good, must be a sign my pre-period hell week is almost over ;-) ).
