Can I be and succeed as a writer at a young age? Please be completely honest
Please, be completely serious. You can be rough, just be completely honest. I've always been the child who's been embraced and praised for her creativity. I've always been the type who used to listen to music all the time, write and draw, imagine a lot. My mother used to embrace it a lot when I was younger, but as I grew older, I didn't get much attention from my parents anymore; school and a lot of other things started distracting me. Just a few years ago, I remember my mom asking where her creative little sweetheart is now, and it was truly heartbreaking to hear. I decided to start embracing my creativity again, start drawing again, and it's safe to say it made my mom happy, and she wants me to keep going. Now, I'm getting into writing again. I have so many ideas. But the problem is.. I'm only 13. If I write something, a novel, anything, would I actually succeed? Or am I just dumb thinking about it? Would anyone look at any novel or story I write and like.. accept me, want to work with me, bring my story to life, publish my writings? Would it be ACTUALLY possible? I'm aware they take a lot of time to write, and that's alright. Any advice on how to or where to start, how to succeed? I'd appreciate any help, please! I'm determined to make my mom proud, but also to get hope and know how to continue, and if there really are any possibilities.
