3 years out
I had surgery 3 years ago. I was misdiagnosed for 3 years prior. They blamed it on my back for three years then when I finally insisted on a hip mri the report said I had an impingement but my ortho told me everything looked good. I was so mad. Anyway I found a specialist and he did the surgery. Since then I feel like my butt muscle and theigh muscle have never fully recovered. Their not as strong as my right leg. I work out. I lift weights but my left leg still struggles. Is there something I can take to help possibly rebuild them? I feel like some of my muscles atrophied from walking incorrectly for years. My PT guy keeps blaming it on the joint ( I went back to PT recently to work on the muscles since they were seezing up when they got tired) while the joint is part of the problem i feel the muscles are more of the issue. I may never get them back but im trying.
Also, I have some moderate arthritis with a small bone on bone spot due to the labrum tear. I forgot to ask why we couldn't do a cadaver labrum. Is that not a thing or is the success rate just really low. I'm honestly surprised we haven't come up with something comparable to just replace or line the socket at this point. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.
