Terrified - just got tested today

The ob gyn told me my lichens sclerosis flare ups were getting worse with perimenopause.

I got a second opinion at the dermatologist office and she took one look and seemed horrified — she said “that is not lichen sclerosus“.

Dark patches, pelvic pain, ulcers.

I feel terrified looking at the treatments.

Does everyone end up with surgery? Does anyone want to share their experience getting treatment?
