How much can I afford in rent?

My boyfriend and I are 19 going on 20 and were both living at his parents rn. We plan to move out around the end of this year/beginning of 2026 but we're not sure what is realistic for us. Our combined gross monthly income will be around $2,800-$3,000 and we have no kids or pets or anything. What rent price range should we aim for in order to live semi-comfortably? We've also considered trying to find a roommate or two, but we don't know anyone to room w/ or how to find people
