Does IUD insertion hurt at 6 weeks postpartum?

Just curious everyone’s experience with this. I am really nervous about getting an IUD due to the insertion pain I have read about but want a birth control that will stop my period.

People that have gotten an IUD at their 6 week postpartum check: did it seem like it was still extremely painful or was it okay since your cervix was softer?
