PVE local & BSG servers selected [discussion]

So guys ive been doing PvE to learn quests etc as hardcore wipe is too hard for me as newish player (360 hours) and as a new pc player but im not sure if what im about to say even means anything or if anyone else has experienced what I have.

So i play with bsg servers selected have done for about 2 weeks now (not 2 weeks straight i have a job) for some reason raids were only having 3 pmcs or 1 didnt matter which map even after running factory or customs or light house and reserve but now hear me out when I swap to local then do a whole raid just getting swarmed by scavs and pmcs I will extract then I will go to another run with severs selected and suddenly the bsg selected map is now swarming with bsg servers selected. With the new uodate as well I have pmcs actually looting and walking around all maps but raids still go too quiet to do quests. So I did it again earlier and same result but now bosses keep spawning and wont stop shturman has killed me on woods run 3 times in a row I then did customs (I killed the boss and all his guards), then I did a couple more raids died to goons and other bosses but then raids died again am I having errors with bsg selected or are raids meant to quite literally die down to the point im only getting 5 scav kills and 1 pmc in the raid whole timer or is the game itself just bugging out?

Be much appreciated if anyone one who play both can actually give me some enlightenment and when I join a friend his games are always filled with ai running and fighting you but mine always die.
