Why don't Croatians use bins?

Been here 2 weeks and you have some of the most beautiful outdoor spaces I've ever seen and I've been all over the world!

But every time I'm in some idyllic spot out in the countryside, i look down and the ground is just a sea of litter... mainly cigarette butts.

It's really sad.

Im English and with the odd exception, most people would be furious at witnessing someone desecrate the countryside like this. To the point where our dirtiest towns are the one's most heavily populated with dare I say it..... people of middle Eastern origin.

I did however notice a distinct lack of bins anywhere where you'd expect to find one but i just hang onto my litter until I find one.

What's going on Croatians?
