Seeking new plane for a small field (more in description)
We have a smaller field and am looking for a new plane. We have two planes so far:
1. I have an older HobbyZone Sport Cub S ($150, 616mm). It feels large (to me) and very lumbering and slow.
2. My son got one of the small F22 (~$100, 280mm) planes. There is so little lift surface that it sometimes feels like a flying brick that stays up due to sheer thrust. But it is ridiculously maneuverable, so it is very fun to fly.
They feel like polar opposites. Is there is something in between that you all would recommend? Something between 300-500mm wingspan that is more maneuverable/powerful than the Sport Cub and also a little larger than the F22?
I consider myself a beginner, but all the beginner planes in the wiki seem to be similar to Sport Cub or even larger.
Budget would be up to $220.
Hopefully that made sense. Thank you!
