There's an adjustable wall on the other side as well as some hang boards and cracks.

It's awesome! Do you have any ballpark figure of how much time and money he put into this?

Cheap enough for an unemployed sixteen year old to pay for, the bolts were the most expensive. It took about three months I wanna say but he's constantly adding, he made a volume block that bolts on last night.

Damn it, I'm an employed 27 year old and I can't even afford the modest backyard wall I'm wanting to build (around $500 plus holds). To be an unemployed teenager..

Yeah, when I read that the first time I thought "shit that is cheap" but then I remembered that an unemployed 16 year old actually has a lot more money than me. no debt or bills yet.

My god, now I have to figure out how to do this. I already have the bolts.

How high is his ceiling?

Eight or nine feet. The entire thing can be taken down in case they move without damaging the rock wall or the house wall too much. I am trying to convince them to do one over the pool...

Yeah, that's not true. He is getting a lot of money from his parents. K built a wall this summer and it was $600 for something far more basic with the holds. Bolts and tnuts are cheap.

an unemployed 16 year old doesn't have a lot of debt or bills to worry about yet. Plus, you can make good money house sitting, pet sitting, mowing lawns, etc.

Holds were the only things he didn't pay. He got some for his birthday and Christmas, the rest was saved up birthday money.

I just asked and there's about 400 bucks in it not counting the holds.

To an ex-stoner like me, that sure looks like a pipe on the stool. It probably isn't, though who knows, you did say Cali.

Pipe, dream-catcher, southern california, bouldering... I think we've found ourselves a fan of the devil's plant.

Surprise crux, you have to be fast enough to miss the blades.

His dad does a little of everything so he'd give him instructions then send him on his way.
