$50 Auction Dynasty/Keeper League - 12-team, .5 PPR (.25 TEP), SF, Start 9, Draft Tonight @ 9:15pm EST, Sleeper & LeagueSafe

Had someone drop out of an auction dynasty/keeper league last minute with the draft set for tonight and am looking for a replacement.

12 team, SF, .5 PPR (+ .25 for TE PPR), start 9 with 20 total roster spots plus 3IR. Scoring is pretty standard otherwise. Dues are 50 dollars and we use LeagueSafe.

Starters are QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, FLEX, SF

I call this league dynasty, but keeper is more accurate. The draft is an auction with a 200 budget. After the draft, managers have the option to sign all the players they won from between 1-4 years. A one year deal is an expiring contract and the player will re-enter the draft pool the following year. A two year deal would expire after the 2026 season, etc. You can cut guys under contract, but will incur a dead cap penalty of 1/3 the contract value over its life. So if you cut a guy making 24 a year for the next three years, 8 dollars would be deducted from you draft budget in addition to the money for any players you have under contract.

It sounds a bit complex but it’s really not that difficult to grasp once you’re used to it. You’ll also see some wild trades, as expiring contracts for stud players are often flipped for guys on good long term deals. You’ll see the type of trades you’d never see in a normal league and it’s a lot of fun.

This year is the fifth year of this league, so the draft is absolutely loaded since all the four year deals given out in our startup expired at the end of last year.

The team also has 3 dollars in dead cap so a total of $137 spent with 63 in cap space for the draft. Note that any of those players could be cut if desired but the 1/3 dead cap penalty would apply.

Also note that if a player retires their contract can be waived without penalty.
