I bought a $300 Lego set and it arrived damaged

I bought the Spiderman Daily Bugle Lego set off of Amazon and the box came damaged. I checked inside the box and none of the pieces were damaged. I don't know whether I should return the set or not. Since it is such an expensive item I feel like it should be in perfect condition but it also feels like a waste to return it if the only thing damaged is the box. I don't want to return it just for it to end up in a landfill. I feel conflicted so I would appreciate other people's opinions on what I should do.
