Did i boof wrong?

got a bunch of 30mg morphine sulfate. Crushed one up and mixed with 1ml water. drew it all up in a 1ml syringe. Inserted about one inch in and released it slowly. One hour later nothing. What did i do wrong? I was laying on my back and nothing dripped out.
