should my sister sue her manager for firing her over a tournament?

not for me, but my sister (16) worked at a restaurant over the summer and school started recently. my sister is an athlete and plays volleyball and lacrosse and she asked her manager for two saturday’s off in a row for a tournament and her manager told her she needed to pick between a job and sports and fired her. can my sister take legal action or even sue the manager?
