Sorry for the long messages!
*only been friends for one year*
We had two in person conversations (one before and after these messages). I originally thought it was all one big misunderstanding, but it became much bigger. The last in person meet up, she admitted to being disrespectful in the messages on purpose (her justification was I disrespected her first, she never mentioned til then). We agreed to taking space on her terms (she’ll reach out when she’s ready, it’s not on my terms bc she said that if she doesn’t want to end space at the same time I do then I’ll have to take that so I said she’ll dictate the timeframe) and she said “don’t be surprised if she takes her time.” (The in-person conversation was a lot more heated than I’m making it seem.)
*first message sent after first in-person conversation, which she did not respond to for over a week*
*I did not address it after the Greek fair mentioned bc we were going into our first week of classes and I wanted to focus on that instead, figured it was also a great time for space*
Should I call it quits and just keep it cordial? Is it salvageable?
Also any advice on how I could handle it better next time bc I was trying to address everything so nothing went unresolved but maybe that was a mistake.
